Event: Candlelight Walking Tour Sponsored

by Cullman Electric Cooperative

Location: Cullman Depot (301 1st Ave NE, Cullman, AL 35055)

The 14th Annual Cullman Oktoberfest Candlelight
Walking Tour will begin next to the Cullman Depot.

Look for the Cullman Electric Cooperative tent and Ford Mustang Mach-E to grab your candle or glow stick. Our tour will wind through the historic streets of Cullman, escorted by Cullman Fire & Rescue, as we unfold the many stories that celebrate our town's 150th Anniversary. Our strong culture and rich history are waiting to be explored!


September 30th

Event: Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour: Cullman's Early Days and Religious Roots

Location: Cullman County Museum (211 2nd Ave NE, Cullman, AL 35055)

City sightseeing historical bus and walking
tour will celebrate the city of Cullman's 150th Anniversary.

Hop-On the bus that will depart from the Cullman County Museum at 12:45 PM. Space is limited/first come, first serve.

Early history, architecture, culture, and religion narrated by former Burgermeister and historian Michael Sullins.

Hop-Off the bus to explore Cullman’s historic Ruehl Building
and Cullman’s first church - St. John's Evangelical Protestant Church (512 2nd Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055). Take advantage of our guided walking tour presented by former Burgermeister and Senior Pastor of St. John’s Church, the Rev. John
Richter, who will be sharing the church’s rich history and highlighting the stunning and historic stained glassed windows.

Event: Gottesdienst: A Service of the Word as Our Forefathers Knew It

Location: St Paul's Lutheran Church (513 4th Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055)

Step back into Cullman’s earliest religious
history and experience this Divine Service (German: 

Gottesdienst) in the German language of Eucharistic Liturgy.

Time: 4:00 PM

Event: Piano Concert featuring Dr. Mark Laverty

Location: St Paul's Lutheran Church (513 4th Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055)

Dr. Mark Laverty is an award-winning artist who has delighted audiences both in the United States and Europe.

His debut CD, “Music of Bach” was recorded at Tanglewood Music Center and produced by Grammy Award winning producer, David Frost. In keeping the German theme, this performance will focus on Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Johannes Brahms
